------------------------------------------------------
Sorry about the crickets on the ole blog here the last couple of weeks. To say I've been crazy busy is an understatement. Things should start to slow down here though so hopefully I'll get back on track. As promised, I have the full tour of my daughters "big girl" room. If you want to go back and see what it looked like as her nursery, check that out HERE.
I didn't re-do the whole thing, just refreshed it to make it more conducive for a little girl and got her a "big girl" bed. I'll let the pictures do most the talking.
The bed is from Down East Home and is the Madeline Daybed from Pottery Barn in "blade." The blade color is a beautiful soft green that has been discontinued. Of course, since I bought it at Down East Home I paid a fraction of the PB price! I got the bedding at TJ Maxx and the sheets are from Target. (Although I can't find the exact set from their site, sorry.) I bought an extra sheet and an extra sham to cut up and make throw pillows with. The doll house is from Tuesday Morning and was a birthday gift from Grandma. You can see the tutu table and how it was made HERE, the princess art HERE and the Ikea hack bookshelves HERE. Everything else is left over from her baby days.
So that's it! Ava's "big girl" room!
As always I'm linking to these great parties and events:

What a beautiful room! I love the little table. Love it all. I too did my daughter's room in pink...love it. Found you via Southern Lovely. Tootles, Kathryn http://thededicatedhouse.blogspot.com/2011/08/little-goodwill-finds.html
Beautiful room. You seem a lot like me - spoiling your little princess. I am attempting a tutu table tonite. Come over and see it sometime.
Wow, this room is gorgeous. I am also impressed with how uncluttered it seems. I need to declutter my girls' room. Both girls share one room, but that is not enough of an excuse for the sheer number of things/pieces in there! Thanks for the inspiration!!!

I can't even tell you how much I love this room. I have been wanting do redo my daughter's room. This is beautiful! I love the Cinderella carriage on the dress. Well and everything else.
oh I forgot to mention I featured it on my blog tonight.
I love so much about this room, I don't even know where to begin. That tutu table is precious, the pink on the walls is an absolute perfect color, and I'm madly in love with the knobs on the dresser. Does that get me started at least? Such a great room! Thanks for sharing.

I missed this post! The room is perfect for a "big" girl. The tutu table is awesome! Your daughter must love it all!
I want to do the write framing you did on the wall in my daughters room, did you paint it yourself? How did you do it?
Do you have any advice or a tutorial for the fabulous paint job in this room? I HAVE to do this in my daughter's room re-do.
I found your room on Pinterest. I just love it. It's absolutely beautiful. I am in the process of re-doing my daughter's room. I am your latest follower. Hope you will stop by and say hi and consider following me back. Thanks.
